Hi, I'm Alisdair, the lead audio engineer at Mason Mastering.
I have over 15 years experience collaborating with independent artists and record labels internationally as well as heavyweights such as Universal Music and BBC Radio.

MIXING | OUR APPROACH
As a mix engineer working primarily in the digital realm, I focus on crafting natural tones and textures that stand out from the often sterile sound of digital mixes.
Instead of relying on countless plugins, I've refined my toolkit to a select few versatile EQs, compressors, and effects that I know inside out. These plugins may not perfectly replicate analogue sound, but I carefully choose ones that deliver an equally organic feel.
To achieve a lifelike finish, I run the digital mix through an analogue mix bus. This step imbues the entire mix with the depth, warmth, and vibrancy of real circuitry.
